MNC V HNC INTERCLUB

We are so excited to have hosted our first Interclub Tournament with Hitchin Netball Club! We had multiple games from Year 4 through to Year 8 and all teams thoroughly impressed us. It was an incredibly close set of matches, with well over 100 goals scored over the course of the day. In the end, Maulden Netball Club were named the winners, only beating Hitchin Netball Club by 3 points for a 41-38 finish. A full table of results will be available at the bottom.

Not only did we see some fantastic netball, but we also had a lovely atmosphere across all courts, and saw some brilliant collaboration between the two clubs. We would like to thank our spectators for being supportive of all players - walking around I often heard parents from both clubs commenting on and appreciating the talent of the opposition.

We also used the opportunity for new trainee umpires from both clubs to be mentored. Big well done to Chiara, Evie, Jess & Jess for impressing all of us, and thank you to their brilliant mentors Kat & Jackie.

It is also important to acknowledge that events like this do not happen without significant effort from many different people. We would like to thank all the Coaches, Admins and Team Managers, without whom it would be impossible for everything to run smoothly. A big thank you to the volunteers on the refreshments, who managed to raise an impressive £400 for YoungMinds. Thanks is also due to all parents who attended today; both for supporting the refreshments and the additional donations to YoungMinds, but also for braving the cold and supporting all the brilliant netballers we had on the courts today.
